16 Years of Supporting Autism

Over 16 years, the Scramble for Autism raised more than a million dollars for local families. In 2020, we made the difficult decision to go on hiatus due to the COVID-19 crisis.

In the meantime, however, the need that the Scramble for Autism was created to address continues.

Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in the country. That means there is an ever-increasing need for the support of therapies for this ‘spectrum disorder’ that can make the world an uncertain place for autistic kids.

Now is not the time to rest on our laurels. We need to keep the momentum moving forward and do even more for these kids!

All our proceeds have benefitted autistic kids right here in the desert. What’s more, the funds we raise stretch even further through our efforts to negotiate special rates through some of the local occupational, music, speech and social therapists. That means every dollar that is raised equates to a much higher value in services to local children with autism. Parents are able to access these therapists through a nominal co-pay versus their full hourly rates – allowing for affordable, consistent therapy that can truly change these kids’ lives.

Now more than ever, we are all in this together. If you can make a donation of support, it will help these children continue their therapy without interruptions that could affect their progress. If not, we hope to see you next Scramble.
